Supervisor Overview

Dr. Chenyu Tang is an Assistant Professor and PhD Supervisor at the School of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Peking University. He received his B.Eng. degree from Beihang University and his Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Cambridge. He subsequently worked as a Research Associate in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge and currently serves as an Honorary Research Fellow at University College London (UCL).

His research lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence, wearable bioelectronics, and intelligent healthcare systems. His work focuses on continuous human-state sensing, multimodal signal interpretation, and closed-loop health intervention in real-world environments. He has contributed to several emerging directions, including assistive communication systems, wearable motion intelligence, and continuous health monitoring technologies.

As first author, Dr. Tang has published 12 papers in leading international journals, including Nature Sensors(inaugural issue), Nature Reviews Electrical Engineering (cover article), Nature Communications, PNAS, npj Flexible Electronics, and IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering (featured article). He has authored more than 30 journal and conference publications in total, holds one public PCT international patent, and has contributed to two international book chapters.
